The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) organized the fourth “Lee Quo Wei CUHK Golden Jubilee Scholarship Presentation Ceremony” on Tuesday, 21 November 2017. The ceremony was officiated by Mr Thomas Liang, Chief Executive of the Wei Lun Foundation, and Professor Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of CUHK. Miss Michelle Liang and members of the advisory committee for the Lee Quo Wei CUHK Golden Jubilee Scholarship Endowment Fund also attended the ceremony.

In his welcoming address, Professor Fok Tai-fai expressed his deepest gratitude towards Dr Lee Quo-wei, the Lee Family and the Wei Lun Foundation for their generous and continued support in helping the University to enhance its strength in teaching, research and public service.

A total of 67 outstanding students have been awarded the “Lee Quo Wei CUHK Golden Jubilee Scholarship” this year. On behalf of all scholarship recipients, Laura Leung Lok-wa thanked the Lee Family and the Wei Lun Foundation for their generosity to establish the “Lee Quo Wei CUHK Golden Jubilee Scholarship” which enabled students to explore their interests and passions.

Established in 2013 in the midst of the Golden Jubilee of the University, the “Lee Quo Wei CUHK Golden Jubilee Scholarship Endowment Fund” aims to support outstanding Mainland students, students from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine, as well as students who participated in exchange programmes to achieve their goals.
