Over 100 alumni of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) were invited to join the 'Alumni Mid-Autumn Festival Fundraising Garden Party' held at the Vice-Chancellor's Lodge on 12 September 2016. Donations solicited through the Garden Party will be used to support the development of the I‧CARE Programme.

Professor Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, expressed his gratitude to our alumni for their generosity in supporting the I‧CARE Programme. 'I am delighted to see the strong bonding between our alumni and CUHK. Let's join hands to foster student's all-rounded development and nurture bright young leaders for the society,' said Professor Sung in his welcoming address.

Apart from Professor Sung and Mrs Sung, the event was graced by the presence of Provost Professor Benjamin Wah; Pro-Vice-Chancellors and Vice-Presidents Professor Michael Hui, Professor Fanny Cheung and Professor Isabella Poon. Alumna Ms Akina Fong was the master of ceremony of the event.

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, students from our Department of Music performed Chinese music on the occasion. Many among them went to Vienna in summer this year to showcase Chinese music at the 'HK-Vienna Music Festival'. Other activities include lantern riddle and charity sale of CUHK Mooncakes and souvenirs. In addition, Professor Sung demonstrated Chinese calligraphy, and presented his calligraphy to three lucky draw winners.
