The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has recently installed a new 3D campus model next to the University’s main entrance to replace the original one built in 1982.  Both models were made possible with the donation from the Lions Club of Victoria Hong Kong (the Club).  In appreciation of their support, an unveiling ceremony was held on Saturday, 29 September 2018.  Officiated the ceremony were Ms Sophia Yung, President of the Lions Club of Victoria Hong Kong, Mr Eric Ng, Vice-President (Administration) and University Secretary of CUHK and Mr Fung Siu-man, Director of Campus Development of CUHK.  It was also graced by the presence of representatives from the Club and CUHK.

On behalf of CUHK, Mr Eric Ng expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Club for its longstanding support towards the University.  ‘I look forward to the continued partnership with the Lions Club of Victoria Hong Kong for the betterment of our society,’ said Mr Ng.  Ms Sophia Yung was pleased to support CUHK again. ‘We at the Lions Club of Victoria Hong Kong trust that CUHK will continue nurturing future young leaders and guiding the students to achieve their personal goals,’ said Ms Yung.

Mr Fung Siu-man presented the distinguishing features of the new campus model to our guests. ‘The CUHK campus has expanded tremendously in the past years under the Campus Master Plan; with more than 160 buildings today to support her new Colleges, teaching and research activities. Created by the Campus Development Office using digital data and 3D printing technology, buildings and ground features of CUHK’s award-winning Green Campus were exhibited to welcome our visitors,’ said Mr Fung.
