Slow PCs in Learning Commons / User Areas

Affected Period	Around 1:00pm – 6:00pm of 15, 19 and 20 Sep, 2016
Cause	Heavy loading on the backend servers
User Affected	Users in Learning Commons / User Areas
Service Affected	It sometimes took around 10 – 15mins to start up a PC, especially during the period with high usage. Users also found slow response while using PCs.
Solution	Spare servers have been set up on 15 and 20 Sep respectively. PCs now take around 2 – 5 mins to start up. ITSC now keeps an eye on the performance of related PCs.
