CUHK Login Service Interruption on 30 Dec 2017
Users Affected CUHK staff, students and alumni

Cause Due to the outage of water supply to Chiller Plant (cooling machine in data centre), some machines in our Data Center were malfunction. Some servers have been shutdown automatically to protect them from overheat.

EMO colleagues are resuming the cooling functions.

Service Affected Users found failure in logging into CUHK Login page and will have an error message saying wrong ID or password, even if they are correct. The following services could not be entered via CUHK login during the above period.

  • Office 365
  • Registration and Attendance System
  • Library Services
  • ITSC Service Desk
  • CUHK Central Booking System
  • Academic Information Management System (AIMS)
  • Alumni Services
    • CUSIS – Opt-in for @Link Email Service (Applicable for alumni graduating in 2010 onwards)
    • CUSIS – Opt-in for @Link Email Service (Applicable for alumni to be graduated)
    • Reset Alumni Password
    • Change Alumni Password
    • Alumni Account Initialization

Blackboard can still be accessible through OnePass login / via MyCUHK (CUSIS & MyStudy).
