Summer Schools and Workshops

Aim
To enhance the mathematics learning experience and gain life experience outside Hong Kong through mainland China’s summer schools and workshops
Target
All students majoring in Mathematics
Requirement

In general, students with good conduct and academic records are eligible to apply

Requirements for specific summer schools or workshops: TBA

Financial support
  • Approved programs are partially supported by the Department of Mathematics
    • The Li-Sze Lim Scholarship:
      • HK$ 7,000 for programs in China and Asia
      • HK$ 25,000 for programs in USA, Canada and Europe
  • Other Scholarship from faculty and university
Deadline of application
1st round due on April 26, 2019
How to apply
Please send by email your transcript and CV (also specifying the name of event and the staying period) to Ms. Kate Wong at on or before the deadline. Please also feel free to send us any query.

  • Approved list of summer schools are posted below that will be updated regularly
  • If not listed, you can still ask for approval
  • Indicate your request to financial support from our department
  • When approved, you will then submit an application to the target institution
