Upgrade of Office 365 Services

ITSC is going to upgrade the Office 365 services for CUHK staff and students* by batches in summer 2020. Users will receive ITSC mass mails at least 3 working days before the upgrade:

Visible Advantages

Mailbox size will be increased from 50 GB to 100 GB*
More Microsoft service will be available i.e. Forms, Planner, Flow (i.e. Power Automate) and PowerApps

Your Action

Your use of Office 365 services, e.g. emails and teams, will NOT be interrupted during and after the upgrade.

However, there could be some limitation if you click OneDrive / SharePoint icon via Office 365 portal during the upgrade:

Users might find the “setting up” message displayed.
As a workaround, you might access your OneDrive / SharePoint site or files as usual via
1. OneDrive desktop client or other Office 365 desktop apps e.g. Word / Teams;
2. Microsoft mobile apps e.g. OneDrive / SharePoint
3. Direct link to the OneDrive folders / SharePoint site

Note:

*Terms C staff, project or other accounts (if eligible) will enjoy the new Microsoft services in a later stage but the mailbox size will remain unchanged.
