Applicants should (i) have a Ph.D. degree, preferably a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline; and (ii) specialize in: Japanese sociolinguistics or linguistics; translation/interpretation; OR analysis of Japanese media and documents.

Duties include teaching postgraduate courses in (a) Japanese sociolinguistics or linguistics; (b) Japanese communication, translation, and interpretation; OR (c) reading and analysing Japanese media and other kinds of documents.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one term commencing September 2017, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
