Undergraduate Programmes
Aiming to nurture and educate engineering leader for the Information World of today and tomorrow, the Department of Information Engineering offers two bachelor degree programmes to provide an all-round engineering education:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering (BEng in IERG) and
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Information Engineering (BSc in MIEG) (jointly offered by Department of Mathematics from the Faculty of Science.)
Bachelor degree holder in Information Engineering may also consider to apply for a double degree option to enhance their competitive advantage.
Year one students from all disciplines (especially science, education, and business administration) are also welcome to join the IE Minor Programme.
The prospect of IE graduates are promising. Every year, we have around 100 students graduating from our programmes. Most of them start their career in the IT or business field and have established a very good reputation in the industry. Many of those who further their studies also get admission to various top graduate programmes worldwide.
