Aviation Policy and Research Centre

Overview

Aviation Policy and Research Centre (APRC) generates crucial research and insights into aviation-related issues from both academic and professional perspectives. In light of the rapid growth of economic activities in Asia and the resulting increase in air travel and cargo activity in and around the region, the need for up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge to improve public policy considerations of the sector is becoming more critical every day.

APRC primarily focuses on issues that impact the immediate and long-term development of the aviation industry in Hong Kong, China, and the Asia-Pacific region, with the aim of contributing to better evidence-based public policy-making and management of aviation related resources. We conduct research in the economic, management, and policy aspects of the industry, and we promote an open and systematic exchange of information among academics, policy makers, practitioners, and industry stakeholders. We use our research publications, newsletters, seminars, and other forums to promote public understanding and debate on major policy issues within the aviation industry in the region. APRC also offers educational programmes specifically orientated towards addressing the aviation sector’s requirements.
