Yang, Haiqin

Biography

Dr. Haiqin Yang works as a senior researcher at Ping An Life Insurance Co. of China Ltd. and establishes the Statistical Artificial Intelligence and Learning (SAIL) lab, which provides an online service, social chatbot, and an offline service, generation engine. Meanwhile, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School.

His current research lies in developing machine learning technologies, more specifically deep learning technologies for natural language processing and generation. He received the 2018 Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS) Young Researcher Award and was recognised as the Most Influential Scholar Award Honorable Mention for outstanding and vibrant contributions to the field of AAAI/IJCAI between 2009 and 2019.
