PERIOD OF STUDY
Full-time Programme: 1 years (maximum: 3 years)
Part-time Programme: 2 years (maximum: 4 years)

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
This programme facilitates the study of sports science by focusing on sport provision and practice in modern societies. It provides a sound theoretical background to enrich students’ knowledge base and to enable them to apply that knowledge in their specific sport-related setting.

The programme is designed to cater to the specific needs of sports administrators or coaches. Those interested in sports administration, management and promotion will focus on courses that provide a sound theoretical background to enrich their knowledge base and enable them to apply that knowledge in their specific sport-related setting. Those who currently work as coaches will be able to select from a range of courses that enrich their knowledge base in coaching theory and practice. Elective courses enable students to expand their knowledge of sports and exercise psychology, sports physiology and sports biomechanics in addition to strategic planning for sports development. Both strands provide students with an opportunity to engage in sports research or an in-service sport-related project.
