Morningside Graduates Awarded UK Scholarships

Two Morningside College graduates have been awarded scholarships to study medicine in the United Kingdom. Allan Lui has been awarded a 2020/21 Croucher Cambridge International Scholarship to pursue his Doctorate in Medical Science at Cambridge University. He will be researching the evolution of drug resistance in triple-negative breast cancer with the goal of identifying strategies to overcome it at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. Allan completed a Master of Science in Research Medicine in 2016 and Bachelor of Medicine with a stream in Global Physician-Leadership in 2019 at CUHK.

Timothy Tipoe, a 2019 Bachelor of Medicine graduate, received an Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship. He will be conducting research on HIV therapy while he pursues his a Doctorate in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford. After completing his degree, he plans to return to the Prince of Wales Hospital to become a clinical researcher.
