Professor Helen Meng has been awarded a grant of HKD5,656,000 from the Innovation and Technology Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government Innovation and Technology Commission. The project is entitled “The AOPA (Author Once, Present Anywhere) Software Platform,” led by Professor Helen Meng (Principal Investigator) and Professor P. C. Ching (Co-Investigator). This project aims to develop a “universally accessible” software platform to support Chinese Web content development for (displayless) voice browsers, mobile mini-browsers in addition to regular Web browsers. Universal accessibility is valuable for E-business information service provision.
Professor Shuzhong Zhang has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award 2001. This award is awarded annually by the VC to one teacher in each Faculty.
