*Speaker’s Biography
Professor Hui Po-keung is an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of Cultural Studies at Lingnan University. His research interests include: Cultural Economy, Education and Cultural Studies, Politics of Knowledge, Community Development, Histories of Capitalism, China Studies, Translation and Cultural Studies, Political Economy of Development, Historical Capitalisms, Cultural Economies. Professor Hui has published numerous scholarly books, which include among others What Capitalism is Not, Poverty in Affluence - Reviews on Hong Kong Cultural Economy, Farewell Lazy Common Sense and Farewell Cynicism: The Crisis of Liberalism in Hong Kong (all written in Chinese).
