Award in IEEE HK Student Paper Contest
Chen Hua, a Year-4 undergraduate supervised by Prof. Leung Alex, has been awarded "Second Prize" in the IEEE Hong Kong Section 2008 (UG) Student Paper Contest. His paper "Settling Time Optimization for Three-Stage Nested Gm-C Amplifiers" is selected to join the IEEE Region 10 Student Paper Contest.

Scholarship
Lee Sim Heung, B. Eng. and M. Phil. graduate in the optoelectronics group, has been awarded a full scholarship to study towards a Ph.D degree in Photonics at the University of Cambridge, under the supervision of Prof. Ian White.

CHANG, Ka Fai and LAM, Fuk Ming Champions of IEEE APMTT HK PG contest.
CHANG, Ka Fai and LAM, Fuk Ming, PG students of EE microwave lab, have won the championships in the 9-th IEEE AP/MTT HK PG contest, October 4 2008, Macau, in the areas of MTT (Microwave Theory and Techniques) and AP (Antenna & Propagation) respectively. There were more than 20 papers submitted in the competition, mainly from Universities of HK and Macau, for oral presentation.
