Undergraduate Admissions —
Arrangements to Support Applicants Affected by COVID-19
The University is well aware of the challenges faced by students over the recent development in various exam arrangements in different parts of the world. CUHK is committed to supporting students in their university applications, and flexibility has always been built into our rigorous selection process to cater for individual circumstances.
Where Exams have been Modified / Replaced with Other Forms of Assessments / Postponed / Cancelled
If your planned exams are modified / replaced with other forms of assessments (e.g., IB Diploma Programme, GCE A-Levels / International A-Levels), you should consult the relevant exam board(s) / your school for advice in the first instance.
If your planned exam registration / exam entries have been postponed (e.g., some national exams) or cancelled (e.g., SAT Subject Tests), you should consult the relevant exam board(s) / your school for advice in the first instance, and — where circumstances allow — sit for the next available exam(s).
In selection for admission, the University will take into consideration results / grades / scores / certification (or other relevant arrangements) issued by official / exam authorities. Such evidence will be holistically considered, together with all relevant academic and non-academic achievements and experiences, and performance at interview (where applicable).
Applicants who have been affected under these circumstances are welcome to submit relevant materials that adequately support our review. These materials may include, for example, school transcripts and results, or official predicted grades.
