Yale-China Alumni Ship Masks to Yale New Haven Hospital
2020 April 14
Many Yale-China affiliated individuals have sent shipments of personal protective equipment (PPEs) for Yale’s doctors, nurses, and staff as they see the pandemic exploding in New Haven. We have received donations from students of current Yale-China Fellows (see photo), former Chinese Teaching Fellows, former Chia Fellows, our partner schools and more. Through Yale-China many individuals purchased masks or other PPEs and shipped them to Yale-China for use at Yale New Haven Hospital when it became clear that there was a shortage of PPE in New Haven.
One such group of students are alumni of Yale’s Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) Program which many Xiuning students have attended. Learn more about how the Xiuning students and other YYGS alumni are fighting COVID-19 around the world here.
