Join the Yale Police Department (YPD) and test your Chinese New Year knowledge. YPD has created an interactive Lunar New Year trivia game for Zoom. There will be five rounds, and the top three from each round will win a prize! Winners will receive a DIY shadow puppet kit designed by Eli Whitney Museum & Workshop. Presented by Yale Police Department and Yale-China. This event is open to the public.

Small Space Tai Chi
Join Shifu Shirley Chock from Aiping Tai Chi Center as she leads a class in tai chi. About Shifu Shirley Chock
Shifu Shirley Chock is the Co-Director of the Aiping Tai Chi Center. Shifu Shirley has a life-long love of martial arts that began with watching Chinese wuxia (martial arts) movies with her grandfather when she lived in Taiwan as a child. She watched her grandfather practice tai chi in the courtyard inside their house in Taipei. Shifu Shirley graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in economics and pursued a career in finance. She studied martial arts in New York before moving to Connecticut in 2001 and began studying wushu under Grandmaster Aiping Cheng. She soon discovered her passion for internal martial arts and switched her studies to tai chi, bagua, and qigong. Shifu Shirley specializes in the Yang and Sun styles of tai chi, tai chi weapons, and Chinese Health Qigong. She is the head Health Qigong instructor at the Center. She combines her passion for tai chi and her experience in the field of learning and development to help others learn tai chi and experience all its extraordinary health benefits. Shifu Shirley is a certified corporate wellness specialist and developed Aiping Tai Chi Center's Tai Chi for Workplace Wellness program utilizing her leadership experience in large, complex organizations within corporate, non-profit, and government sectors.
About Aiping Taichi Center
The Aiping Tai Chi Center was established in Connecticut in 1996 by Grandmaster Aiping Cheng, one of the world's foremost authorities in Chinese Martial Arts (CMA). With over 40 years of training, competing, coaching, and teaching at the highest levels, few can match her credentials. The Aiping Tai Chi Center uses traditional teaching methods to provide students with the deepest understanding of tai chi. Hundreds of students have benefited from Grandmaster Cheng's expert knowledge in both traditional and contemporary Chinese martial arts. Many of her students have won multiple awards, competitions, and championships both in the United States and China.

Ivy League Spring Festival Gala is jointly held by Chinese Student and Scholar Associations from eight Ivy League schools. Founded in 2010, Ivy League Spring Festival Gala is one of the most influential Chinese entertainment events in the eastern US.
