This course aims to provide students with an integrative and family-centred framework in working with families and individuals. Focus is given to the understanding of family centred practice as a holistic approach that integrates the various social work methods in the helping process. The course critically examines the changing family ideologies, policies on family, the adequacy of family services in Hong Kong and the formulation of an integrative and family centered service delivery system.
