Project Impact Enhancement, Research Assistant Position, Department of Anthropology
The appointee will be involved in Social Impact Enhancement activities of the department. These activities include liaising with and conducting interviews with informants/interlocutors involved in previous research projects, help in the setting up and production of the department Podcast, and to assist in various departmental outreach activities. The appointee will be working alongside the Impact Postdoctoral Fellow on these tasks in Hong Kong.
The appointee’s duties will include but not be limited to interview data collection, interview transcription, research and writing of anthropological materials for public audiences, as well as assistance on community outreach activities.
Requirements
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Anthropology; (ii) strong skills in qualitative research analysis (iii) good analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and (v) the ability to work independently.
Previous experience in undertaking anthropological research and/or community engagements is preferred.
Appointment will initially be made on part-time contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance, mutual agreement and funding availability.
For non-local applicants, he/she should be holding a valid visa to take up part-time employment in Hong Kong.
