Every year, the Fine Arts Department organizes a number of art events and academic activities so as to share the fruits of our artistic creation and academic research with local and overseas artists and scholars, as well as the general public. Regular art events include: a booth for students’ artworks at Fine Arts Asia in October; an art show at Garden Party organized by the Friends of the Art Museum in November; “The Art at CUHK” exhibition series from May to July. Besides, our students often hold solo and group exhibitions in Hui Gallery and Ch’ien Mu Library at the New Asia College, and other venues outside campus. Academic activities include our monthly “Art History at Lunch” workshops and many other lectures, demonstrations and conferences. This variety of art events and academic activities within and without campus aims to bring artistic exchanges and intellectual dialogues not only to every corner of our campus, but also to different parts and communities in Hong Kong.
