The Department organizes a summer study trip every year. A professor will lead a group of students to the mainland or a foreign country for cultural and academic visit. Places visited recently include Hangzhou, Sichuan, Xi’an and Dunhuang in China; Taiwan; New York and Washington in U.S.A.; Venice in Italy; Kassel and Muster in Germany; Tokyo in Japan; and London in U.K. Occasionally, special study tours also arrange in conjunction with major art events and exhibitions. Students may take these opportunities to visit major museums, archaeological sites and art institutions, and experience art and culture of different places.
