General Research Fund (GRF), formerly known as Competitive Earmarked Research Grant (CERG), is administered by the Research Grants Council (RGC), Hong Kong. The RGC also administers the Early Career Scheme (ECS), which was introduced by the University Grants Council (UGC) in the academic year of 2012-13.
