The Chinese University of Hong Kong has been active to develop exchange partnership with institutions in the mainland and Taiwan. These include a variety of collaborative projects including research initiatives, joint laboratories and joint programs. The University has established a variety of joint research initiatives comprising State Key Labs, The Ministry of Education Key Laboratories, The Ministry of Education Key Research Institutes in Humanities and Social Sciences, and joint research laboratories and centres.
The Office of Academic Links (China) is dedicated to facilitating strategic collaborations between CUHK and universities on the mainland and across the Taiwan Strait. Acting as a central coordinating unit, OALC works closely with the Faculty/School/Departments/Units and relevant authorities concerned to establish a wide spectrum of national and cross-strait joint projects.
