The Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution Mechanism of E-Commerce Platforms in China, co-supervised by Professors Jyh-An LEEand Stuart HARGREAVES.

RESEARCH INTERESTS AND AIMS

Ms. Songyin Bo is particularly interested in Internet law and online dispute resolution. With her thesis, Ms. Bo hopes to provide the systematically descriptive and analytical study on the online dispute resolution (ODR) mechanisms of e-commerce platforms in China. Upon examining the ODR mechanisms of Taobao, JD and WeChat, Ms. Bo aims to conclude the similarities and disparities of each of the platforms and study on the efficiency of their ODR mechanisms by implementing empirical study from the perspective of the buyer’s. In the end, Ms. Bo hopes to contribute to the improvement of ODR mechanisms of e-commerce platforms and offer possible implications in other dispute resolution areas.
