Research Postgraduate
Most of the programmes require students to select courses for the whole academic year, normally in mid-August each year. Students may also add/drop courses for each term during the add/drop period, normally the first 2 weeks of each academic term. Please refer to the Graduate School for more details.
The Improving Postgraduate Learning (IPL) Programme is organized for postgraduate students to enhance their research-related skills, writing and presentation performance, and teaching and learning effectiveness.
The University places very high importance on honesty in academic work submitted by students, and adopts a policy of zero tolerance on academic dishonesty. While “academic dishonesty” is the overall name, there are several sub-categories as follows:
- Plagiarism
- Undeclared multiple submission
- Cheating in tests and examinations
- All other acts of academic dishonesty
Students should make themselves familiar with the content of Honesty in Academic Work: A Guide for Students and Teachers and watch short videos prepared by the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research to have a thorough understanding on the matter.
Students shall observe all rules and regulations prescribed by the University. For more details, please visit the following websites:
The University Almanac provides details of key University dates, e.g. term start/end dates, add/drop period and examination period, for an academic year.
