He was also the first Chinese who became the chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Despite the heat of July, Dr. Cheng came to campus to talk to us, and expatiated on his concepts of management and governance, his youthful years for which he had no regret, and on work and education.
