The Solemn Moment On the 68th Congregation for the Installation of the New Vice-Chancellor and the Conferment of Degrees on 16 December (see page 2), Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung (right) received the seal of Vice-Chancellor of CUHK from Dr. Vincent H.C. Cheng (left), Chairman of the University Council. The seal bears the Chinese inscription ‘Seal of the Vice-Chancellor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong’, written in the clerical style of the Chin Dynasty. The 1.6 kg seal, though a bit heavy, is nothing compared to Professor Sung’s stupendous mission. 莊嚴的一刻 第六十八屆大會（新任校長就職典禮暨頒授學位典禮）於12月16日舉行（詳見後頁）， 沈祖堯校長（右）從大學校董會主席鄭海泉博士（左）接過中文大學鈐章。此鈐章文 曰「中文大學校長之印」，印文為秦篆，用廣泗銅製成，重約一點六公斤，份量不輕。 不過，相對於沈校長的遠道重任，則是輕如鴻毛。 P3 我興起了將一顆小行星命 名為「中文大學」的念頭。 I was struck by the idea of naming an asteroid after CUHK.
