Research Interests
Child and adolescent psychiatry, cognitive processes and psychopathology, psychiatric rehabilitation, family functioning and parenting, psychotherapy.
My research interests lie on the psychopathology and molecular genetics of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as on the cognitive theory of psychopathology. My current research studies are deeply affected by the background of my career development. I had been a practicing clinical psychologist in a public hospital for more than 10 years. During that period, I worked with my mentor, who is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, to study various developmental disorders. We found that many of them, including ADHD, often had a strong biological basis. My training and practice background helps me to build up a multi-disciplinary network and lay a foundation for my research work now.
