Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) aims to build research capacity and to encourage, facilitate and support health and medical research to inform health policies, and improve population health.

Prof Wong Chun Man Patrick from the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages obtained a grant of $0.77M from the HMRF in 2015 in sponsorship of his project “Neural Responses to Pitch in Cantonese-speaking Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders”.
