The Tang Chun-I Visiting Professorship is established in 2003 through the gracious support of Gateway Management Services, Ltd. The Visiting professorship will bring one or two internationally distinguished philosophers to the Department of Philosophy each year to offer a one-month, one-credit postgraduate lecture course on a specialized topic in their area of expertise, along with a formal public lecture and an informal staff seminar presentation.
The program aims to enrich the department’s curriculum, stimulate interest in philosophy in the local community, and provide local students and faculty the opportunity for extended discussions with distinguished lecturers from around the world.
