我的主要研究領域為宋明理學。 碩士論文題目是戴震對宋明理學倫理學的批判，博士論文主題是朱熹的心性工夫論。博士畢業後，我曾兩度到德國柏林自由大學的Dahlem人文研究中心從事兩個博士後研究項目。2018年4月至2019年2月我在加州大學伯克利分校從事學術訪問。我曾長期任教於武漢大學哲學學院，所教授的課程包括“中國哲學史（宋元明清）”、“四書導讀”、“老莊導讀”、“先秦中國哲學專題”等。我近些年就誠意與自欺、宋代萬物一體觀等論題在中英文期刊中發表過幾篇論文。
