Hong Kong Studies is a research collection with materials on a wide range of areas that are pertinent to Hong Kong for serving the teaching and research needs of academics and students. Emphasis is placed on Hong Kong’s history, literature, society, culture, law and government. Materials collected include books, monographs, periodicals, government publications and various closed stack materials. All the materials in this collection can be searched through the LibrarySearch.
Most of the materials in Hong Kong Studies are available on open stacks but to be used within the Library only and not for loan.
Some materials in Hong Kong Studies are kept in closed stacks. Users may request these items in advance via “Request Options” in LibrarySearch. These items must be used in the Special Collections Reading Room.
