Research Commons
The Research Commons on the first floor of the University Library is innovatively-designed and specifically-zoned to meet the research needs of postgraduate students, researchers and faculty.
It is a technology-rich space fully furnished with an IT zone, a Reference Reading Room, a Multi-purpose Room, 9 Doctoral Study Rooms and 9 Group Study Rooms for library workshops, special class sessions or learning activities, and an Idea Exchange with flexible seating, and smart computing equipment that is specially laid out for postgraduates and researchers to meet informally, exchange research ideas across disciplines, and to inspire new research and interdisciplinary collaborations. A number of discussion workshops relevant to postgraduate studies are designed to take place here to enhance interaction between participants.
To meet the research and learning needs of postgraduate students, researchers and faculty at any point of the research process, various services and activities are offered at the Research Commons, including Workshops and Seminars, Research Café, Research Consultations, and Citation Search Service for Faculty.
