To support the University’s vision: “to be acknowledged locally, nationally and internationally as a first-class comprehensive research university”, the Library is committed to close partnership with departments, faculties and research centres at CUHK as well as local, national, regional and international peer libraries.
We partner with members of CUHK community to support learning and collaborate with faculty to develop, curate and disseminate digital content to support their research and showcase their research outcome. Collaborative projects have included: Improving Postgraduate Learning, Archive of Christian Study Centre on Chinese Religion & Culture, Chinese Women & Hong Kong Christianity: An Oral History Archive, David Hawkes Archives, CUHK Electronic Theses & Dissertations Collection, Hong Kong Literature Database and the Rulan Chao Pian Collection.
CUHK Library is a member of the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC), Pacific Neighborhood Consortium (PNC), The Pacific Rim Research Libraries Alliance (PRRLA), The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), a contributor to China Academic Digital Associative Library (CADAL), and a partner with China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS), the University of Leeds in UK and Université d’Aix-Marseille in France. By participating in local, national and regional peer organizations and collaborating with peer libraries internationally, the Library is able to enhance its international perspective and maximize global resource sharing to support the learning, teaching and research of the CUHK community.
