All 7 libraries have full Wi-Fi coverage to allow users’ notebooks and mobile devices to gain access to the Internet. Provided by CUHK centralized Wi-Fi services, there are different wireless networks for different groups of library users. Please check here for the common wireless network with unique SSIDs. Once connected to (SSID: CUHK, CUHKa, CUguest, Eduroam), you can also use the Library’s Wi-Fi printing service.

Free Wi-Fi service is provided to all current staff and students of the University. Please refer to here for details.

CUHK Alumni
All CUHK alumni are allowed to enjoy free Wi-Fi service on campus including the CUHK Library using your “Alumni ID” + @alumni.wifi (ie. 1XXXXXXXXX@alumni.wifi ) as the login name and Alumni password. Please refer to this detailed user guide for login accounts and connecting to devices with different operating systems.

Visiting Scholars / Visitors
Free Wi-Fi service is provided for short-term official guests invited by the Library only. Visiting Scholars to CUHK may also apply for CUguest WiFi service with their affiliated CUHK department. Visitors from other local universities may be able to access Wi-Fi service through hotspots operated by Eduroam, CSL and Y5Zone
