The Li Ping Medical Library is responsible for supporting the learning, teaching and research needs of the Faculty of Medicine. The medical collection covers all specialties of clinical medicine as well as Chinese medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. As the teaching programmes of the Faculty are held in two separated campus – main campus and the Prince of Wales Hospital at Shatin, the medical collection is arranged according to the curriculum needs of the teaching programmes. The pre-clinical, nursing, pharmacy, public health and Chinese medicine learning materials are housed in the University Library while the medical and clinical science materials are housed in the Li Ping Medical Library at the Prince of Wales Hospital. The strength of medical collection lies in its rich databases on evidence based medicine and comprehensive e-journal collection on different biomedical subjects to support the clinical practice and research of advanced medical sciences.
