DRAFT Examination Timetable, 1st term 2020-21 |
Dear Students, |
I am writing to inform you the following pertaining to the arrangements of the centralized course examinations in 1st term 2020-21. |
1. |
Draft Examination Timetable |
The Draft Examination Timetable has been released on CUSIS under the tab “Exam Timetable for UG Courses” today (28 October 2020). When you enquire the draft examination timetable, please pay attention to (a) for examinations with approved face-to-face arrangements, the examination venue will be shown, and (b) for online examinations, the invigilation arrangements (e.g. self-arranged invigilation, no invigilation) will be shown. If you have questions regarding the mode of examinations, please contact the course teachers concerned directly. |
The DRAFT Examination Timetable has been compiled with due consideration of the following guidelines: |
(i) |
students will have at most 2 examinations/day; |
(ii) |
students will have at least a 4-hour break if they have 2 consecutive examinations in a day so that enough time is provided for finishing the first examination and for preparation of the next one. |
Students MUST check carefully the time arranged for their course examination(s) in the DRAFT Examination Timetable. If there are genuine problems that students cannot attend any of the examination(s), they should seek advice by sending e-mail to the course teachers concerned on or before 4 November 2020. If any students who cannot attend the online examinations due to special reason (e.g. internet instability or noisy in the home environment), they may seek approval from the course teachers concerned for coming back to campus to take the examination with face-to-face examination arrangements. |

Examination Arrangements for Students with Special Education Needs (SEN) |
For individual SEN students with special examination arrangements as recommended by the Office of Student Affairs, the draft examination timetable released at RES homepage is NOT applicable to them. Separate e-mails will be sent to SEN students instead on their Final Examination Timetable after appropriate arrangements have been made by the course teachers with the students concerned. |
For some students with special educational needs BUT have not received the message on CUSIS Examination Timetable about the special arrangements, they MUST approach the Disability Services Manager of the Office of Student Affairs (Tel: 3943 4766, e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) on or before 4 November 2020 for consideration and assessment, so that special examination arrangements can be arranged by RES. |
3. |
