DANCES WITH A DISEASE: how CUMED takes on COVID-19 15 As early as January 2020 when evidence of the spread of COVID-19 in the community began to emerge, a rapid response team on medical education was promptly set up to monitor the situation and to take all necessary actions. The rapid response team is led by Prof. Paul Lai of the Office of Medical Education who had first-hand experience from the SARS outbreak in 2003.
