My research group has several post-doc positions. I am looking for post-doc in the area of ''network science'' and ''machine learning theory and applications'' . You need to have a strong background in machine learning theory and applicatinos, probability, optimization, stochastic processes and algorithm analysis. If you are interested, please email me and provide me with your CV (or resume) as well as your background information.
Note that unlike other professors who want to have a large research group, I prefer a small to medium size research group with around six to seven Ph.D students only. This way, I can spend some quality time with my research students to learn/think together, and to explore interesting research problems. You may ask what are the ''requirements'' to be my Ph.D student. Beside having a strong academic background in mathematics, algorithms and programming, the most important criteria is that the student needs to be intellectually curious . In other words, you need to have a ''passion in learning'' . If you think you are qualified, please send me email or come to my office for discussion.
For students who have a strong background in mathematics or theory, for example, students who have degrees in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics and/or Physics, our research group is actively seeking these candidates for some very interesting research projects. The backgrounds we seek are: machine learning, probability, optimization, stochastic processes, statistical analysis game theory, approximation algorithms,...etc.
