Adjacent to the GIS/RS Lab is the Map Room where
the Department's collection of maps, atlases, aerial photographs
and remote sensing imagery is stored. It also has cartographic
instruments including a Kroytype lettering machine and a planvariograph
for enlargement and reduction of maps; remote sensing instruments
including pocket stereoscopes and mirror stereoscopes; and a
wide range of surveying instruments including clinometers, alidades,
levels and theodolites.
