Session:

Each paper is allocated a total of 55 minutes with

  • presentation (45 minutes or less),
  • discussion (5 to 7 minutes), and
  • final Q&A (remaining minutes).

 

Conference Venue

The conference will be held in Room 401, the 4th floor of Esther Lee Building at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The venue is equipped with wifi. You can find out how to access CUHK wifi service at room 403, right next to the conference venue.

 

Conference Facilities:

There will be two laptops and a printer available for use by conference participants in Room 403.

Vending machines are available for snacks and coffee at the first floor (which is one floor above the ground) of Esther Lee Building. The vending machines are operated by coins and Octopus card

 

Transportation:

The Chinese University of Hong Kong shares the University Station of the MTR East Rail with the Hyatt Regency Shatin, and the Department of Economics is situated right next to the western exit of the station. You may therefore find the following information useful for coming to the conference:

The Third Annual Conference on Chinese Economy (CCE)

January 30 - 31, 2013

Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

 

The third annual Conference on Chinese Economy (CCE), jointly organized by the Department of Economics at Chinese University of Hong Kong, the School of Economics at Fudan University and the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, will be held on January 30 - 31, 2013 at Chinese University of Hong Kong. The objective of the annual conference is to establish a platform at which researchers on Chinese economy exchange ideas and explore potential collaboration. During the two-day conference, we will allocate one hour to each paper to ensure sufficient time for presentation and discussions. We have secured a limited amount of funding and will help cover round-trip economic class air travel and as well as three night local accommodation for presenters and discussants upon request, with priority given to junior scholars.
