Uni-Y (CCC CUHK) organized the Handicrafts Workshop Series in June and July 2020, for participants to relax after semester and learn special handicrafts, which included the making of leather wallets and dried flower bricks, and experiencing food waste dyeing.

An online summer camp was held by Chaplain’s Office and Chung Chi Fellowship from 7 to 9 August 2020. Students explored and exchanged their reflection and ideas about what should be cherished in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.

 

 

An online “College Time Session” was held for mainland students on 2 September 2020. Professor Ko Wing Hung, Associate College Head and Dean of Students, and College staff members introduced the College to them and took a“group photo” during the online meeting.

This year’s Orientation Camp of the College was held online from 2 to 3 September 2020, with more than 320 freshmen attended. There was a College Time in which Professor Fong Wing Ping, Head of the College, gave a welcome remark to new students. Professor Ko Wing Hung, Associate College Head and Dean of Students, introduced the development and activities of Chung Chi to the freshmen, and Professor Wong King Shui Phyllis, Associate Dean of Students, provided some tips for their university life.

 

 

The CUHK School Commencement Service was organized by the Chaplain’s Office together with the campus student Christian groups on 7 September 2020. It was held at the College Chapel with live broadcasting. At the service, Professor Kung Lap Yan of the Divinity School of Chung Chi College preached on the topic “A Christian Response to all these Crisis” and the student Christian band and Christian choir offered prerecorded hymns.

The Chaplain’s Office and Chung Chi Fellowship held an online orientation event on 10 September2020 to introduce the pastoral support from the College and the Fellowship to students and encourage them to accompany one another on the way of spiritual growth.

 

 

“Mindfulness X Self-portrait” Workshop by Lakeside Walks Series was held on 28 September. Participants were encouraged to be aware of their thoughts and practice mindfulness through drawing self-portrait.
