Since 2007-2008, the Department of Social Work has started offering minor programmes for undergraduate students. Details of different minor programme requirements are as follows:
(i) Minor in Social Welfare
Students are required to complete a minimum of 18 units of courses as follow:

(ii) Minor in Social Policy

@ For 2013-14 or before, students can also use SOWK2150 to fulfil Social Policy minor requirement. However, this is not applicable to students who are taking SOWK2150 on 2014-15 or thereafter.
Note:
1. "Social Welfare" and "Social Policy" are two independent minor programmes. Students are required to indicate their choice to the Department when applying. If course requirements are completed, the name of the chosen minor programme will be shown on the transcript.
2. Students are encouraged to complete the required courses as soon as possible should they wish to minor in our programme. This could prevent the problems caused by possible time clashes of the required minor courses with their own major courses.
