About Us
STUDIES IN PROSODIC GRAMMAR (formerly known as PROSODIC STUDIES) is an academic publication of CUHK-BLCU Joint Research Centre for Chinese Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (JRCCLAL). Established in 2016, it publishes linguistic research in prosody, which focuses on (but is not confined to) the Chinese languages and covers various subareas such as prosodic phonology, prosodic morphology, prosodic syntax, prosodic literature, etc.
STUDIES IN PROSODIC GRAMMAR is managed by Editor-in-Chief, with internationally known scholars with expertise in prosody serving as Editorial Board Members and Reviewers in order to present an informative, insightful scholarly dialogue.
The journal publishes on a regular basis, issued in June and December yearly. Articles are published in Chinese or English, and can be downloaded for free on JRCCLAL’s website.
Study of prosody would inevitably benefit Chinese linguistics, general linguistics, and even literature and literature theories. Thus, the publication of STUDIES IN PROSODIC GRAMMAR would probably popularize the research in Chinese prosody.
