1 Overview
Rehabilitation aides assist the professional members of rehabilitation team with therapeutic treatments for physical, mental, developmental, and occupational disabilities, injuries, and illnesses. This is a unique training course designed for personnel pursuing a career in rehabilitation services or currently working in rehabilitation services within the healthcare or social service sectors.
The Training Course for Rehabilitation Aide aims to equip students with the fundamental concepts and skills essential to supporting the delivery of rehabilitation services. It covers the common rehabilitation services and the roles of the rehabilitation aides in the direct client care. The course elements are particularly useful for helping students who are interested to work in a wide range of rehabilitation services, including dietetics, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, prosthetics & orthotics, and speech therapy.

Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to

2. define the common problems associated with clients presenting for rehabilitation;
3. identify the fundamental activities and skills in supporting professionals in the provision of rehabilitation services; and
4. conduct common activities according to the prescription of rehabilitation professionals.

4 Delivery Mode
Lecture, activity and discussion in face-to-face mode and / or webinar through zoom meetings

1. Students are expected to have 70% of attendance; and

A Certificate of Completion will be issued to students who have an attendance not less than 70% and passed the course assessment.
