This course examines the background, context, theoretical foundations and impact of major reforms in modern governments. The types of reforms examined include administrative reforms, political reforms and policy reforms. By exposing students to the theories and approaches, politics and strategies of reform, the course helps them understand better and deeper about why reform emerges, what factors determine the success and failure of a reform, and the significance and implications of different types of reforms.
