Introduction

Elva Tang is Founding Partner and Director at Henning Larsen Hong Kong. She is leading the company’s work in China and Asia.

Elva has experience spanning 15 years on a wide range of projects across cultural landmarks, educational buildings, mixed-use developments, urban design and tall buildings. Having worked in New York, Copenhagen, Paris, Hong Kong and Mainland China, her multi-cultural exposure has powered her ability to lead Henning Larsen in developing culturally specific architecture with a Scandinavian ethos in an Asian context. Elva has been in charge of several of the offices’ key projects, including the Hangzhou East Lake Opera and the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Zone Masterplan in China, the French International School in Hong Kong, and the Icone Tower in Manila, soon to be the tallest high-rise in the Philippines.

Elva excels in cultivating the finest team of architects and consultants for large-scale, complex projects involving multidisciplinary collaborations. Her design inputs are key in creating architecture that focuses on people and place.

An alumna of CUHK, Elva received her Bachelor of Social Science in Architectural Studies with first class honour. She furthered her studies at UC Berkeley, where she received her Master’s degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Elva is Registered Architect in Denmark and AIA Associate Member in the US.
