The Creative Writing Project, an extension of the English Across the Curriculum (EAC) Project, was launched with the aim to inspire students to become more confident and expressive writers and to foster the love of the literary craft. To cultivate the dynamic creative writing community at CUHK, we offer creative writing workshops, a campus-wide writing competition and monthly writing salons. An official project anthology is published with writing from the creative writing competition and a themed literary journal is regularly updated to showcase students’ creative voices.

Project Chrysalis is the perfect student project for you to improve your public speaking skills. Through this project, you will develop your ability to identify a social, real-life or engineering problem, develop a solution and, most importantly, pitch your solution to professionals by creating a video presentation. Gain valuable experience and win prizes!

Project Chrysalis
project-EAC

English Across the Curriculum (EAC) includes and extends the learning of English in formal course settings to the acquisition and use of English in other subjects and disciplines. Developing students’ language proficiency within the specific disciplines plays a prominent role in the learning of content subjects. The main objective of the EAC project is to collaborate with content teachers in enhancing students’ level of language awareness and language use in the discipline.

ELTU IELTS Initiative
project-SAP

ELTU's Student Activities Project, launched in 2012, aims at promoting English learning beyond the classroom setting with the use of a soft approach. To achieve this aim, a range of English enhancement activities are organized throughout the year by ELTU teachers and administrative staff members, as well as our English ambassadors. Some of our well-received activities include Social English Meet-up, English Materials Giveaway, and excursion. Feel free to join our activities and have fun with us! ELTU's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ELTUCUHK/), updated on a regular basis, is also a platform to promote "edutainment". Come and give us a "LIKE"!
